
The kite has become one of the hereditary culture of the Balinese. Starting from children, adults, parents were fond of flying kites. As an annual agenda, Kite Festival held in Padang Galak beach,sanur on July 23-25 2010. This 32nd Festival titled "Flying Kite in The Green Island".
About 738 pieces of kite that coming from many "Banjar" in Bali participate in this festival. Competition is divided into two participants categories, they are children and adults. Then type of kites that are contested diveided into 4 categories, that are, Bebean (shaped like a fish), Janggan (shaped like a dragon), Pecukan (oval), and Creation Kite (free shape).
Although the weather was overcast and drizzling rain, spirit of the participants had never come down, accompanied by traditional music "baleganjur" they're still trying to fly their kite to be the best.
